Fill Our Hearts: A Campaign for the Future of the Northside
In partnership with New Dawn Foundation, we are working to
raise $50,000 by August 1st. These funds are to ensure the children,
youth, and young families of the Northside have the
support they deserve.
Donations made to the New Dawn Community Development Education Foundation – Community Cares Fund go directly to help fund CCYO and our efforts.
The “Fill Our Hearts” Lifeline
We envision a thriving community that cares deeply about all youth and young families. A community where young people are hopeful, feel a strong sense of belonging, and know they are worthy of a good life.
But a lifeline goes both ways. CCYO is a lifeline to the community, but we are sustained by the community. To help keep this lifeline strong for the next generation, we need to raise $50,000 over the next two months.
Every donation made to New Dawn Foundation’s Community Cares Fund fills our hearts a little more and strengthens our foundation. To achieve this, we are focusing on the three core pillars that these funds will go to and that allow CCYO to do what we do:
Our Place
Building Upgrades & Repairs
Our Outreach Centre at 55 King Street is a safe harbor. For many children and young families, it is the only place they feel entirely safe and warm. To keep our doors open, we require vital building upgrades and repairs to ensure our physical space is as welcoming, safe, and efficient as possible.
Our People
Vital Staffing Needs
Programs don’t change lives—relationships do. Our dedicated staff and mentors are the heartbeat of CCYO. They are the ones who walk alongside a young parent navigating a crisis, guide a youth toward employment, and provide a steady hand when things get tough. Funding our staff ensures our youth never have to stand alone.

From life-skills workshops to immediate needs like emergency food security and transit access, our programming is the direct “fuel” that helps young people bridge the gap between crisis and a self-determined future.
