Hub Cape Breton

Fundamentally, CCYO seeks to build a creative “Life-Work” environment where youth can develop a sense of ownership of the organization, and foster entrepreneurial thinking, entrepreneurship and self- determination. The Centre will offer a shared-service business centre, with meeting space, telephone, fax, audio-visual, internet and catering services available, with office and workshop rental a possibility, depending upon usage and other CCYO activities. This centre will be both a resource for the wider community, and a location for housing revenue-generating activities that provide employment and on-the-job training for at-risk youth. The centre will offer shared-service enterprise facilities, with meeting space, telephone, fax, audio-visual, internet and catering services available, with office and workshop rental a possibility, depending upon usage and other CCYO activities. The centre will be an important resource to all young people who are operating small businesses, or want to generate new business ideas. To build on the HUB model, CCYO hopes to develop revenue-generating activities that provide employment and on-the-job training for at-risk youth, in several areas.
